Dame Agatha Christie (15 September 1890 – 12 January 1976) wrote 66 crime novels, feeaturing well-known characters such as Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot. Many of her tales have been adapted to stage and screen, and have been enjoyed by audiences for nearly 100 years. In 2000 she was awarded the Anthony Award for Best Writer of the Century.
